Competition regulations DG cup 2026, organized by FC Gute in collaboration with Destination Gotland.

Player rights & License
• Players in competition classes (13 years and older) must have a futsal license.
• In the open class, you do not represent any club, but must be registered for futsal. Contact FC Gute if you are not registered.

Overage players
• A team may have one player who is a maximum of one year older than the age class. (in the case of several, you must apply for a dispensation)
• Goalkeepers can be up to two years older.

Dispensation
• Dispensation is required to play in another club in youth classes.
• Goalkeepers can play in two teams in the same class.
• Players may try out for another club, but only in one team during the cup.
• Players may participate in several teams in the same club, but only in one senior team.
• Dispensation must be approved before the first match. Applications are sent to: dg-cup@fcgute.se

Rules
• The Swedish Football Association´s futsal rules apply.
• Exceptions:
• No time-out
• Rolling playing time
• Unlimited number of players on the bench
• Yellow cards do not carry over to the next match
• For 12 years and younger, the rule about throw-backs to the goalkeeper does not apply

Substitutes & Vests
• In competition classes (13 years and older) and open class, substitutes must wear vests. Bring your own vests.

Tournament format
• Group play + playoffs (quarterfinals, semifinals, final) for everyone except those born in 2013 and later.
• For 7–12 years, no results, tables or playoffs are reported.

Points & Quota
• Table: points → goal difference → goals scored → head-to-head → draw.
• In case of different number of teams in groups, quota is used: points/matches.

Draw in playoffs
• Penalties directly with sudden death.

Team lineup
• Must be registered in Cupmate the day before the first match.
If not – loss with walk-over in every match until the problem is fixed.

Walking football
• Only walking is allowed (one foot on the ground).
• Running = free kick to opponent.
• Minimal contact – tackling and physical blocking prohibited.
• Ball size: 4. Playing time: 18 min.

Game times
• 13–16 years, seniors, open class: 18 min,
• 12 years and younger: 13 min, 5 vs 5
Ball size
• 13 years and up: 5 vs 5, ball size 4
• 11–12 years: 5 vs 5, ball size 3
• 9–10 years: 5 vs 5, ball size 3
• 6–8 years: 3x3 min, 3 vs 3 with a sideboard, ball size 2

Penalties
• Expulsion = suspension from the next match.
• Serious expulsion = at least two matches, possibly the entire cup.
• Punishment can be carried over to other teams/classes.

Protests
• Costs 500 SEK in cash (refundable if the protest is approved).
• Must be submitted by team/association against team in the same group or playoffs.
• Applies e.g. to ineligible players. Submitted to the hall manager.
Protest submitted to the competition jury through the hall manager.
