Tournament Rules
Games
Teams must be ready 5 minutes before the scheduled match start . After the match, we ask teams to keep the post-match acknowledgements very brief.
The playing time is 1 × 25 minutes of running time . The clock is stopped only for penalties and if requested by the referees. Toward the end of the match, the scorekeeper may switch to continuous running time due to time constraints. Total game time will not exceed 30 minutes . After 30 minutes the game officials will end the game.
A shot clock is used in all matches.
Points and play-offs
A win is rewarded with 2 points, a draw with 1, and a loss with 0 points. If two or more teams end up with the same total points, position is decided by 1) result head-to-head 2) goal difference 3) number of goals scored 4) least number of penalty minutes 5) lottery
The playoffs are played so that teams finishing 2nd and 3rd in each group play qualification matches ( A2–B3 and A3–B2 ) for a place in the semifinals against the group winners. This is followed by semifinals and a final, as well as placement matches between the teams that lost the semifinals (for 3rd place ) and the qualification matches (for 5th place ).
If a playoff game ends in a draw, it will be decided by penalty shoot-out. Each team picks one penatly shooter. Each team get to shoow one penalty until the game result has been decided. The teams may appoint the same player to shoot more than one penalty, but the players may not shoot two penalties in a row for the team.
Prizes
The winning team is awarded with a trophy after the match. All teams get to award one player with an MVP or tsemppari (your choice) award, who receives a plaque.The award is presented after the final/placement match.
Before your team’s placement match, please inform the scorekeeper who on the team will receive the MVP or tsemppari award .
Penalties
Penalties are 1 minute.
